Brickworks Labs is a venture studio for major events. We design and build our own software, and we run it at real events.
The studio comes out of years spent on the ground at festivals, races and stadium shows. The tools available to the people who run these events never matched the scale of the work. Spreadsheets stretched past their limits, information scattered across ten systems, and the people doing the hardest jobs got the worst software. We started building because we needed these tools ourselves.
Two products so far
Mastergrid is an ERP for event operations. Power, credentials, staffing, vendors, scheduling and site maps in one system, built for the back of house. It runs at major events today, and it improves every week because the people using it tell us what is wrong with it.
BITTIX is fair play ticketing. It is in development with people who have spent years inside the ticketing industry. We will share more when it is ready, and not before.
Why a studio
Operations and ticketing are different products for different users, even when they serve the same event. Each deserves its own team and its own focus. What they share is the studio: the same builders, the same standards, and the same belief that technology should serve the people doing the work.
The name comes from the idea that good things are built one brick at a time, and built to last. The tree in our mark grows the same way.
